Stuffed mushrooms
Ingredients for 12 mushrooms
- 12 large button mushrooms
- 100 g fresh goat's cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh rosemary for decoration
- Begonia or Phlox for decoration
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Remove the stems from the mushrooms and slightly hollow out the centre to make room for the filling. Set aside the mushroom caps.
- In a bowl, mix the fresh goat's cheese, chopped walnuts, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Generously fill each mushroom with the goat's cheese mixture.
- Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a greased baking tray.
- Place the mushrooms in the oven for around 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and the goat's cheese has melted.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly.
- Garnish with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary to add a festive touch.
- Serve the stuffed mushrooms as a starter for a deliciously indulgent start to your Christmas meal.
