Behind every potager, every Lingot®, there's a passionate team who imagine, design and manufacture everything in-house. From research and development to design, production, logistics, sales and marketing, each department works hand in hand to push back the limits of seasonality and offer you fresh plants all year round. Together, we drive innovation to bring more freshness, fragrance and colour to your kitchens.
When passion for cooking meets French ingenuity
It all started with a simple need: to grow fresh herbs at home, without constraints. Like many others, Nicolas Géhin, an electronics engineer and keen amateur chef, wanted to prolong the freshness of the basil and cherry tomatoes he grew on his balcony. But as soon as autumn arrived, the cold and lack of light destroyed his crops.
Rather than give up, he came up with a solution: LED horticultural lighting capable of recreating the ideal conditions for growing plants indoors, all year round.
It was in 2015 that this idea met a vision: that of Chloé Verneuil, a designer with a passion for innovation. Together, they came up with a compact, aesthetically pleasing, self-contained indoor kitchen garden designed to reinvent the way people grow food at home and revolutionise everyday cooking.
Today, Véritable® is pursuing its original ambition: to offer everyone the chance to grow fresh plants easily, while bringing nature back into our kitchens.

Véritable®, a meaningful identity
The origin of the name ‘Véritable®’
More than just a word, ‘Véritable’ embodies authenticity, simplicity and nature. An invitation to rediscover taste at its truest. The name in French also plays with the words ‘green’ ("vert") and ‘table’, perfectly reflecting our vision of bringing a little nature back into our kitchens.

Inspired by gold bars, our Lingot® is a real plant treasure.
Shaped like an ingot, this precious refill contains everything a plant needs to grow.
Simple, ingenious and 100% natural, Lingot® embodies the richness of plants that we want to offer everyone.
The logo
The radish, the Véritable® emblem, pays homage to the first cultivation tests carried out when the brand was created.
This plant, chosen for its simplicity and its connection with the earth, marked our beginnings. However, its optimal growth required a crumbly substrate and more space, conditions that were incompatible with an indoor garden.
Today, the radish symbolises our quest for innovation and appropriate solutions, even in the face of the most complex challenges.
